Crayons and 100 dollar bills
I was at one of my old elementary schools yesterday. Woodruff was a good school. I went on the year round schedule there for fifth grade. The outside of the school has these cool crayon pillars everywhere. The school it's self has some great architecture that I doubt I fully appreciated when I went there. The library was open for summer so I was able to go in and look around. I wanted to get a picture of the hundred dollar bill that was in the hallway but I could not find it anywhere. The school has many classroom windows made of those glass blocks and when they built the school a construction worker placed a hundred dollar bill in one of them. I remember many a recess staring at it and plotting how I would get it out and what I would spend it on. I guess when they put in the new gym they got rid of it. A lot of memories came flooding back to me as I walked the halls.
